Lordan’s UK Facility Manufactures Its 100,000th Coil
|
An historic milestone has been achieved this month; the 100,000 manufactured coil was produced at the Lordan (UK) manufacturing facility. In addition to this last month the record for the largest coil manufactured at this site was broken with a 6m ½ tonne coil. As a matter of interest the lightest coil manufactured record goes to one which weighs in at a mere 380 grammes.
Manufacturing the 100,000 coils shows that the initial strategy was correct when it was decided to establish a manufacturing facility in the UK. Prior to this Lordan had only a hand full of customers in the UK which have now grown to over 40. With further help from our customers, the Welsh Assembly and others who have been instrumental in the success so far we look forward to further and continued success in the future.
This year has also seen coils going from the South Wales plant to customers in most of the countries in Europe West and East as well as USA.

Lordan (UK) report at 2 years old
|
Before the birth of Lordan (UK), Lordan, an Israeli based company exported coils into
the UK and around the world. Lordan realised that in the small and medium batch size
end of the coil heat exchanger market, the company sells service rather than just coils.
With this in mind they set up a new manufacturing plant based in Hengoed, South
Wales.
Lordan (UK) has just celebrated its 2nd birthday since trading began. Since the
beginning it has been a blur of memories and achievements. 6 months after the start of
trading came the first coil from our own production line, followed by a trickle of others.
Now, 18 months after the first home grown coil came off the line, we manufacture as many coils per day as
we did per month.
Over this period Lordan (UK) has won numerous contracts with new customers.
Coupling this with the increased level of service and customer care given to existing
customers has resulted in an increase in turnover by over 225% from our own UK
manufactured coils.
Recently, there has been such an overwhelming interest in Large Coils
(coils over 2 metres) that we are currently installing a brand new dedicated production
line capable of producing coils up to 5 metres.
A big hello to all those people who visited our stand at IKK recently. This has set us up
full of energy for the start of a brand new and exciting year.
