| About LORDAN > Production |
The production process is carried out by state-of-the-art computer-controlled machinery.
Production batch sizes range from one coil to 1,000 or more. Each batch is a different model, which might be as small as 10 cm, or as large as 3 m.

Fully automatic punching machines produce the complete end plates (from 2.5 m x 1.25 m sheet metal).
CNC brake press makes the various bends in the end plates.
Copper tubes are fed from reels to the hair-pin machines, which straightens them, cuts them to the right length and bends the tubes into the hair-pin shape.
The fin presses are at the heart of the production line. They produce the various fin patterns by punching the holes for the tubes, stretching the fin collars to the required length and forming the fins to flat, corrugated or louvered surfaces.
After assembling the hair-pins to the fins and end plates, the expansion press creates
a strong heat transfer bond by mechanical expansion of the tubes to the fins.
Return bends are produced in a similar manner by a fully automatic machine.
Holes in the manifold have high collars, which are produced by an automatic collar-forming machine.
Return bends are brazed to the tubes by the automatic brazing machine.
Each and every coil is pressure tested, flushed with dry air, filled with inert gas and sealed.
